To entice travellers once restrictions are lifted, many hotels are offering travel vouchers that are valid until 2021, without cancellation penalties.

While there is uncertainty over when we can leave these shores to satisfy our wanderlust, there’s no harm taking a peek at the generous offers available while waiting for borders to open up. Many hotels are offering vouchers with extra credits beyond their purchase price and a validity period of up to end-2021 without cancellation penalties. Time to dream and plan.

ANANTARA HOTELS, RESORTS AND SPAS

Enjoy 30 per cent extra value on all eGift cards from Anantara when you purchase a value of at least US$50 (S$69) by June 28. The card’s design is customisable and its value can be used to redeem a variety of experiences including accommodation and dining. Valid for all stays up to 12 months after purchase.

ASCOTT

Members of the Ascott Star Rewards (ASR) programme will receive 100 per cent more bonus points if they purchase at least S$500 worth of points by August 31, 2020. 

Points can be redeemed for more room nights at no extra cost at participating properties in over 80 cities. To sweeten the deal even further, Ascott is appreciating healthcare workers by offering up to 40 per cent off when they take up complimentary ASR membership and make a booking on the website.

The Avani eGift Cards, which can be redeemed within 12 months from the date of purchase, can be used to purchase stays, cultural discovery journeys, or indulgent spa and dining experiences. Get your customisable cards by June 28 and receive 30 per cent extra value.

Tick a Belmond sojourn off your travel wish list with a Tomorrow Travel Pass, which can be redeemed for any experience from a hotel stay to an elegant train journey or a trip encompassing all the above. Spend €500 (S$780) to receive an additional €100, or spend €1,000 or more to receive an additional €200. You can choose to receive a digital or physical card, which can be in USD, GBP or EUR. There is no expiry date.

CHIVA-SOM

Closer to home, Conrad Centennial Singapore is offering hotel credits worth S$70 daily for a minimum two-night stay. These credits can be used for the various services across the hotel including meals and spa treatments, but not applicable for room rates and items from the hotel’s gift shop.

IHG HOTELS & RESORTS

As Vietnam gradually eases travel restrictions, IHG is launching its Dynamic Rewards Nights for IHG Rewards Club members. Book before September 1, 2020 and enjoy up to 30 per cent off your stay at hotels such as InterContinental Nha Trang, InterContinental Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort and InterContinental Saigon, from now until December 30, 2020.

No deposit is required and full cancellations are allowed up to one day before your stay. Redemptions are also available for IHG’s hotels in South Korea, and will be progressively rolled out into other markets this month.

MANDARIN ORIENTAL

Look forward to making memories with your loved ones under Mandarin Oriental’s vacation offers. The Staycation by M.O. package is valid year-round, and includes a bottle of sparkling wine or champagne and a tailored hotel experience such as a cocktail masterclass or a private local gallery tour.

The Families by M.O. package allows a second room to be booked at a 50 per cent discount, and children under 12 receive complimentary meals as well as age-appropriate amenities and a local tailor-made activity.

While staycations are yet to be allowed in Phase 2, there’s no harm keeping an eye on Marriott’s local properties such as The St Regis Singapore, W Singapore – Sentosa Cove and The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore. More information here.

For Thailand, certificates with up to 50 per cent more bonus can be purchased for use at Marriott’s hotels such as the new Le Meridien Khao Lak Resort & Spa and Phulay Bay, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve.

In Indonesia, the Indulgence Awaits and Terima Kasih campaigns offer fantastic packages for stays until May 31, 2021, at different hotels such as The St Regis Bali Resort, W Bali – Seminyak and The Westin Resort Nusa Dua.

SMALL LUXURY HOTELS OF THE WORLD

If you’ve always wanted to stay in a hotel of character and class, now’s the best time to get a Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) gift card for use at any of its 520 hotels found across 90 countries.

From now until June 30, SLH is offering 20 per cent extra value on a minimum of purchase of US$100 on its gift cards and extending the validity period from 12 months to 18 months. The gift card can be in USD, EUR, AUD or GBP.
