This Father’s Day, show Dad some love with a fancy meal and a whiskey pairing, a buffet of local eats, or a bucket of beers and a pizza overlooking the city from a sky-high perch.

This swanky Chinese restaurant is purveying special Father’s Day six-course lunch (S$78 per person) and dinner (S$98 per person) menus. At lunch, expect the likes of a dim sum platter featuring crispy vermicelli roll with king scallop, a double-boiled chicken broth with maca and bamboo fungus, and sauteed spotted garoupa fillet. Dinner highlights include eight-head abalone and goose web with seasonal vegetables, and Shang Social signature Jiang Nan wok-braised marbled pork. With every four Father’s Day sets ordered, you’ll receive a set of Shang Social homemade XO chilli sauce and shrimp paste chilli sauce. Available on Jun 15 and 16.

At this 70th floor restaurant, Father’s Day meals come with breathtaking views of the city and a four-course menu (S$108) by executive chef Paul Hallett. Expect the robust flavours of a Rhug organic lamb rump with smoked eggplant, monkfish with Iberico dashi, and prawn sashimi with soba noodles and Osietra caviar. Father’s Day dinner will be an unforgettable affair with irresistible modern-Chinese dishes designed for sharing. Bond with Dad over the likes of Dragon Mountain (S$88/S$138) – fried lobsters tossed with crispy garlic, crushed fermented soybeans, chillies and Sichuan peppercorns – and Firecracker Chicken with maple fritters (S$16/S$28; think a Chinese interpretation of chicken and waffles, with maple-drizzled youtiao in place of waffles). Dads who love their local fare will love The Singapore Lunch Buffet Experience (S$30 per adult; S$15 per child between 6 and 12 years old) at The Halia. The event celebrates home-grown entrepreneurs and food purveyors, with guest vendors such as Mariah’s jemput jemput and Provision’s Jungle Bar. Also on the spread are more than 15 familiar favourites such as Hainanese chicken rice, Nonya laksa, and do-it-yourself ice kacang. A Make-A-Card-For-Daddy corner will keep little ones meaningfully busy as dads enjoy their meal. To sweeten the deal, one child below 12 years old eats for free with every paying adult. The four-course dinner (S$128) conceived by chef Lee Boon Seng will feature the likes of The Macallan 12 Years Triple Cask, 12 Years Sherry Oak, and 12 Years Double Cask. Snacks such as oysters with yuzu ponzu and pomelo, and beef tartar with chilli mustard will wake the appetite for mains like Java long pepper Boston lobster with aerated wild rice porridge and Angus short rib pastrami. Kick back with dad at Zafferano’s Terrace Lounge, which offers a bird’s eye view of the Marina waterfront. On Jun 14 and 15, from 5.30pm to 6.30pm, bond over a bottle of house wine or a bucket of five bottled beers along with the Burratina, a classic Italian-style pizza and crisp truffle fries.
