In honour of International Nurses Day today (May 12), Qatar Airways has announced that it will be giving away complimentary round-trip airline tickets as a gesture of gratitude to 100,000 healthcare workers across the globe who have been fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.

The giveaway began today, and will close at 11.59pm (AST) on May 18 (04.59 SGT on May 19). Eligible healthcare professionals, restricted to doctors, medical practitioners, nurses, paramedics, pharmacists, lab technicians and clinical researchers, can apply at qatarairways.com/ThankYouHeroes. They will then be given a unique promotion code, offered on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Healthcare professionals from every country in the world are eligible for tickets. To ensure the application process is fair and transparent, each country will receive a daily allocation of tickets, depending on its population size, staggered over a seven-day period from May 12 to 18.
