Need a change in your working environment? Try a ‘workcation’ instead
Oakwood has rolled out day-use workspaces at its residential properties, giving guests the comfort of personal space along with conducive work areas and amenities.
At this point in the year, many of us are getting accustomed to working from home. Still, there’s no shortage of distractions when it comes to actually being productive, and sometimes, all we need is a change in environment to get through the workweek.
Why not try a "workcation" instead? Oakwood, which operates several award-winning serviced apartments and hotels, has introduced Work from Oakwood at 17 properties across the Asia-Pacific. In Singapore, that includes Oakwood Premier AMTD and Oakwood Studios.
Work from Oakwood gives guests access to an apartment, some of which are equipped with a private kitchenette, for a total of 12 hours from 7am to 7pm. Each package also comprises complimentary morning and afternoon snacks, alongside all-day coffee and tea.
Guests will also be able to use the fitness centre and pool, if available on the property. In addition, they’ll be entitled to complimentary WiFi, black-and-white printing of up to 30 documents daily, 20 per cent off colour printing, and 20 per cent off at the property’s restaurants, if any.
“Being empathetic to evolving guest requirements, we recognise the value of providing inspiring retreats for those who need conducive work spaces away from home. With travel restrictions in place, this market segment is a key aspect of domestic tourism which will help to drive business," said Dean Schreiber, Chief Executive Officer of Oakwood.
"Work from Oakwood resonates with the needs of guests who seek a safe and conducive work environment with world-class hospitality services in a residential space that complements their lifestyle."
A minimum booking of seven days is required for Oakwood Studios Singapore (from S$1,088 weekly). Meanwhile, a package will soon be launched at Oakwood Premier AMTD Singapore, the company said.
