Following Omega’s release of a new James Bond timepiece, carmaker Aston Martin this week unveiled two limited-edition 007 sports cars, made to honour the release of the 25th James Bond film, No Time To Die.

No Time To Die will be released around the world in November 2020 and will feature four iconic Aston Martin sports cars, namely the iconic DB5; the classic Aston Martin V8; the brand’s latest super GT, DBS Superleggera; and the Aston Martin Valhalla – the company’s forthcoming mid-engined hypercar.

The two special editions that celebrate the release of the film, both of which are offered in limited numbers to buyers around the world, have been carefully designed and crafted by the experts in Aston Martin’s bespoke division – Q by Aston Martin. The models will “offer the ultimate in bespoke personalisation services”, Aston Martin said.

“Creating a 007 Edition is always an exciting challenge as we work to develop and style a car that embodies the legend of James Bond. It is an honour to apply carefully judged 007-inspired styling to our sports cars, which gives our customers the opportunity to own a unique piece of both cinematic and automotive history,” said Marek Reichman, Vice-President and Chief Creative Office of Aston Martin.

The first limited-edition model is the Vantage 007 Edition, inspired by the original Aston Martin V8 that featured in The Living Daylights in 1987. The new car features a bespoke mesh grille with chrome bezel that references the look of the classic V8. Yellow trim on the car’s exterior contrasts the Cumberland Grey paint finish.

The interior features obsidian black leather, dark chrome inserts with 007 branding applied to the console of the cars equipped with a stick shift and 96.60 embroidered on the sun visors. 007 buffs will know that 96.60 is a reference to the Russian police frequency Bond used to aid his escape in The Living Daylights.

The Vantage 007 Edition is limited to just 100 units worldwide.

Limited to just 25 units, the second car is the DBS Superleggera 007 Edition, which boasts the same specs as the one featured in the upcoming film. The car sports Ceramic Grey exterior paint with the roof, mirror caps, splitter, diffuser and aeroblade featured in black-tinted carbon fibre. Also unique to the 007 Edition are visually striking Gloss Black diamond-turned Y-Spoke 21-inch wheels.

This special edition also features a 007 fender badge, finished in chrome with a black enamel infill and Stainless Steel Silver 007 foil applied to the rear spoiler blade. More 007 branding can be found inside the car, along with a sill plaque that recognises the model as one of just 25 DBS Superleggera 007 Editions.
