Chanel’s game-changing makeup line for men, named Boy de Chanel, first made its debut in September 2018. “For Chanel, beauty is not a matter of gender; it is a matter of style,” the luxury brand said at the time.

Boy de Chanel first launched with three products – a foundation, retractable brow pencil and a hydrating lip balm. Chanel has now expanded the line to include five more items – a skincare gel, and four more makeup products, helping men to diminish signs of imperfections when the occasion calls to put your best face forward.

After all, there’s always those signs of fatigue that are incredibly hard to conceal, like dark eye circles, sallow skin and dullness.

The secret to healthy skin first lies in a good skincare regime. The Fortifying Gel Moisturiser (S$144) is a hydrating and protective skincare product that shields the skin from dehydration and daily aggressors. The formula composes of a hyaluronic acid derivative combined with glycerin, encouraging skin hydration for 24 hours and limiting insensitive water loss for eight hours.

The moisturiser can be used on its own or as an after-shave, helping to reduce the sensations of tightness and discomfort after shaving. It can also be applied on the beard, smoothed in the direction of hair growth.

Conceal those dark eye circles with the Boy de Chanel Concealer (S$56), available in eight different shades to match different skin tones. The non-oily and glide-on formula smoothly conceals skin imperfections, while being light on the skin so that you don't feel like you've got makeup on.

The 3-in-1 Eye Pencil (S$53) helps to make the eyes pop. It comes in three shades, brown, navy and black, and can be used as eyeliner at the inner corner of the eyes to define and intensity. The eye pencil is blended into a monochrome shade for a bolder effect, akin to eyeshadow.

Wrapping up the collection is the Le Vernis matte nail polish (S$41). Show off impeccably groomed hands with the Le Vernis nail colour in natural shade. For a more intense look, there’s the Le Vernis in black. A flat, circular brush makes the nail polish easy to apply and according to Chanel, the nail polish dries in just 64 seconds, great for those on-the-go.
