Some of the biggest moments in fashion have emerged from the Grammys and this year’s ceremony was no different, with celebrities stepping out in incredibly creative looks.

On the jewellery front — save for a few statement pieces from the likes of Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa and Victoria Monet — many celebrities opted for minimal, sometimes almost unnoticeable jewellery.

Here are some of our favourite looks.

TAYLOR SWIFT

Taylor Swift dominated the red carpet in a black and white ensemble by Schiaparelli, with a watch worn not on the wrist, but as a choker.

The custom black diamond watch is from Lorraine Schwartz. Worth noting is that the watch was set to midnight, a reference to Swift’s grammy nominated album Midnights. It was also accompanied by 300 carats worth of Lorraine Schwartz diamonds.

Dua Lipa has been stealing the show when it comes to red carpet jewellery moments and the Grammys was no exception. The singer stepped out in a custom metallic Courreges gown with a plunging neckline, accompanied by a sculptural Tiffany & Co necklace shaped like two fishes curling around her neck.

The necklace is adorned with a 23-carat unenhanced orange sapphire, sapphires, rubellites and diamonds.

VICTORIA MONET

The R&B singer channeled Old Hollywood glam, arriving in a custom brown corset gown by Versace, complemented by a stunning Bvlgari Serpenti necklace.

Tiffany & Co's Jean Schlumberger Bird on the Rock brooch has become the accessory of choice for male celebrities. As host of the evening, Trevor Noah adorned the diamond brooch on his shimmering cream-coloured suit.

JANELLE MONAE

Janelle Monae wore a black sequinned Giorgio Armani Prive plunging strapless gown with a Yeprem diamond choker on a black ribbon, along with David Yurman diamond stud earrings and rings.

The singer went with minimal jewellery to match her all-black ensemble, wearing a pair of Fred Leighton diamond cluster pendant dangling earrings.

MALUMA

Those are not earrings that Maluma’s wearing. The Colombian singer-songwriter wore custom diamond-embellished Bose Ultra Open Earbuds, designed by Atlanta-based jewellery company Icebox.

On his wrist was a breathtaking Jacob & Co Astronomia Tourbillon Baguette Rubies watch, set with 257 baguette rubies.

FANTASIA BARRINO

The Color Purple star is setting a new trend – wearing a Messika ear cuff worn over her lip. The singer-actress also wore diamond ear studs, a diamond bracelet and a myriad of rings over her opera gloves.
