The world of automotive retail is becoming increasingly digitised, with brands rolling out virtual showrooms that allow customers to browse car models without having to leave their homes. On Jul 11, Lexus Singapore unveiled an e-boutique, allowing customers to purchase a car without having to step into a showroom.

The Lexus e-boutique is billed as a one-stop platform for those looking to purchase a Lexus car and would like to do so without having to visit a boutique. Customers can first browse models on the virtual interactive showroom, a digital replica of Lexus’s physical boutique.

Key features of the Lexus virtual showroom include live chat, digital brochures and a financial payment calculator. The latter helps customers to estimate monthly payments or work out a suitable budget for purchasing a car.

If there’s a car that catches your eye, you can reserve the unit with a fully refundable deposit of S$500. A Lexus sales consultant will then get in touch with you.

Once you've made the purchase and your unit is ready, there are three different types of new vehicle delivery modes to choose from. There's Home Delivery mode, where the car is delivered straight to your doorstep; the Express Delivery mode at the Lexus boutique – a 30-minute quick delivery process with minimal contact; and the Standard Delivery mode, with offers a more comprehensive 60-minute walkthrough of the vehicle.
