Former senior royals Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly set to be offered a mega deal by Spotify to launch a series of podcasts. According to UK tabloid The Mirror, the music streaming giant is interested to sign the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, after the couple became available for new opportunities, having stepped down from royal duties.
Sources claim that “money is no object” when it comes to Spotify’s offer, and the Duchess will be able to “more or less name her price”. The couple are set to be offered a massive seven-figure deal.
Spotify boasts a whopping 120 million subscribers worldwide. Former US first lady Michelle Obama recently debuted her exclusive podcast with the platform to much success.
After leaving the royal family, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced their intention to be financially independent. Meghan took her first Hollywood job narrating a charity docuseries, Elephants.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry has teamed up with Oprah Winfrey on an Apple TV documentary series on mental health.
The couple also renamed their charity, formerly known as Sussex Royal, to the Markle Windsor Foundation. The pair agreed to stop using the word “royal” in their branding after stepping down as senior royals.
