Blackpink’s Lisa officially named Louis Vuitton brand ambassador
The rapper and singer was previously affiliated with LVMH-owned Celine.
It’s now official: Blackpink’s Lisa has joined Louis Vuitton as the house’s newest ambassador. Speculation of the K-pop star’s involvement with the brand has been ongoing for months. She attended the brand’s Fall 2024 Ready-To-Wear show in March and has been teasing her new role through numerous social media posts showcasing Louis Vuitton outfits and accessories.
"I am very excited to welcome Lisa as a house ambassador. She has a daring spirit and charisma that I find incredibly compelling. She is as bold and creative with her music as she is with her fashion, and it is a privilege to accompany her on this journey," said Nicolas Ghesquiere, artistic director of women's collections.
Lisa, whose real name is Lalisa Manobal, was previously ambassador of LVMH-owned Celine. While she has made a name for herself as a member of popular K-pop girl group Blackpink, this year is a significant one for the 27-year-old Thai star as she embarks on her solo ventures.
In February, she announced the launch of her own management company, LLOUD. Recently, she released her new solo single, Rockstar, which went right to the top of the charts. Several scenes from the music video were shot in Bangkok. The single also teased her affiliation with Louis Vuitton through the lyrics, "Tight dress, LV sent it".
Outside of music, Lisa is set to make her onscreen debut in the third season of the hit HBO Original series, The White Lotus.
All four Blackpink members are ambassadors of luxury fashion houses. Jisoo is ambassador of Dior, Jennie of Chanel and Rose of Saint Laurent. Aside from Louis Vuitton, Lisa is also ambassador jewellery house Bvlgari.
